PTSD and Veterans

Lori Wardlow, MSW, Post 9/11 Transition and Care Management Program Manager, VA Nebraska/Western Iowa Health Care System – Lincoln Division

This presentation will describe the effects of PTSD on veterans and how the PTSD symptoms are experienced from a veteran patient perspective. Knowledge about resources available to health care providers will be shared so they may better understand and connect veterans to care.

A Veteran’s Salute

Marty Thurber, Hospice Chaplain, Tabitha; Seventh-Day Adventist Pastor; LPFD Chaplain

From a hospice chaplain who also served in the U.S. Army during the 1970s, this presentation provides us with a view of veteran’s issues surrounding grief and bereavement, as well as providing tools to help veterans come to peace with death.
