CONTENT

Participants will view the regulatory updates for hospices in 2018 and examine the changes coming to both hospice and palliative care for 2019. Participants will have a better understanding of how to prepare for these changes with a review of regulations (state and federal), top survey deficiencies, quality reporting, and increased hospice scrutiny.

OBJECTIVES

At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. State where to find the Medicaid hospice provider website, as well as the licensure page website for hospice.
  2. List the top five hospice deficiencies.
  3. Know where to look for the hospice quality reporting web page and how to review final reports.
  4. State three concerns related to the OIG hospice report and how to avoid them.
  5. Explain the definition of palliative care.

This webinar is appropriate for administrators, social services, nurses, direct care staff, and owners in hospice agencies.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
