Membership Benefits

Hospice Provider and Organization Memberships

A Hospice Provider is any licensed hospice organization that actively provides direct care.

Organization Members are organizations with goals and interests related to the hospice philosophy and consistent with NHPCA goals. Includes inpatient or residential hospice facilities. Individual members cannot be employed by a non-member Organization.

  • Association with partners who form one of the most progressive statewide end-of-life improvement organizations in the country
  • Listing as a member of NHPCA on nehospice.org
  • Access to members-only information on nehospice.org, Nebraska’s premier source of hospice and palliative care information. Hospice Provider Member staff also receive access to the members-only section of the website, if designated by the hospice or organization's director.
  • Participation on committees and Board of Directors (if elected) to shape NHPCA activities and create collaborative initiatives
  • Weekly email update of national and Nebraska hospice and palliative care news. Additional designated staff may also receive the publication.
  • Opportunity to advertise in NHPCA’s weekly e-newsletter at a discounted rate
  • Special email bulletins of pertinent regulatory issues
  • Discounts on NHPCA’s professional education events
  • Early notification of information such as calls for presentations, exhibit and sponsorship opportunities, and event registration
  • Access to discipline-specific online forums and conference calls
  • Opportunity to promote the hospice philosophy through speaking engagements and exhibit booths organized by Community Health Charities of Nebraska in your community

Hospice Provider Members also receive:

  • Independent inclusion in the Find a Hospice function of nehospice.org
  • Independent inclusion on Nebraska Hospice Directory, which is used at events and in donor and new member correspondence
  • Independent listing as a member of NHPCA on nehospice.org
  • Free membership certificate for display
  • Direct communication from NHPCA to branch office manager

Developing Hospice Membership
A Developing Hospice Member is one in the start-up phase of business.  The organization may not already be licensed and should be taking steps to become licensed.  It receives limited technical support from NHPCA with the ability to purchase additional consulting services as needed.

  • Association with partners who form one of the most progressive statewide end-of-life improvement organizations in the country
  • Listing as a member of NHPCA on nehospice.org
  • Access to members-only information on nehospice.org, Nebraska’s premier source of hospice and palliative care information. Developing Hospice Member staff also receive access to the members-only section of the website, if designated by the developing hospice’s primary contact.
  • Weekly email update of national and Nebraska hospice and palliative care news. Additional designated staff may also receive the publication.
  • Opportunity to advertise in NHPCA’s weekly e-newsletter at a discounted rate
  • Special email bulletins of pertinent regulatory issues
  • Discounts on NHPCA’s professional education events

Long-Term Care Membership

This membership category includes nursing and assisted living facilities.

A nursing home or assisted living facility that exclusively provides inpatient hospice care is not eligible for this membership and must join as an Hospice Facility Member.

  • Association with partners who form one of the most progressive statewide end-of-life improvement organizations in the country
  • Inclusion in the Find a Facility function of nehospice.org, allowing website visitors to search by county or by contracted hospice for a nursing home or assisted living facility
  • Listing as a member of NHPCA on nehospice.org
  • Access to members-only information on nehospice.org, Nebraska’s premier source of hospice and palliative care information. Nursing home and assisted living member staff also receive access to the members-only section of the website, if designated by the facility administrator.
  • Participation on committees to shape NHPCA activities and create collaborative initiatives
  • Weekly email update of national and Nebraska hospice and palliative care news. Additional designated staff may also receive the publication.
  • Opportunity to advertise in NHPCA’s weekly e-newsletter at a discounted rate
  • Special email bulletins of pertinent regulatory issues

  • Listing as a member at nehospice.org
  • Weekly email update of national and Nebraska hospice and palliative care news sent to one coalition contact
  • Opportunity to advertise in NHPCA’s weekly e-newsletter at a discounted rate
  • Access to members-only information on nehospice.org for one coalition contact. Information includes community presentations and professional resources.
  • Access to hospice provider and advance directive information at nehospice.org, as well as the ability to direct consumers to the site for reliable end-of-life information

Business Partner/Allied Health Partner Membership

Business Partner/Allied Health Partner members are organizations with goals and interests related to the hospice philosophy and consistant with NHPCA goals. Individual members cannot be employed by a non-member organization.

  • Discounts and advance opportunities to secure trade show space
  • Listing as a member of NHPCA on nehospice.org
  • Opportunity to become involved through committees and work groups
  • Regular email update of national and Nebraska hospice and palliative care news
  • Technical assistance from NHPCA staff
  • Timely information on issues pertaining to the Nebraska hospice and palliative care profession Access to members-only information on nehospice.org, Nebraska’s premier source of hospice and palliative care information.Staff also receive access to the members-only section of the website, if designated.

Individual Membership

Individual Members endorse the hospice philosophy and are interested in promoting the goals of NHPCA throughout Nebraska. A person may not hold an Individual Membership if they are employed by a non-member Hospice, Organization, Developing Hospice, Long Term Care Facility, or other health-related organization.
