A Message to Policy Makers From NHPCA

Thank you for visiting the NHPCA website to learn more about hospice and palliative care in Nebraska. We are grateful for your service to Nebraska’s families and are eager to work with you on issues related to end-of-life, hospice and palliative care.

Following are suggestions on how you can support the efforts of NHPCA:

Stay Informed

Bookmark this website and visit often. You may also contact the NHPCA office at 402-477-0204 for general questions or to subscribe to NHPCA’s bi-weekly e-newsletter. You can also call the NHPCA President and CEO at 402-477-0204 to discuss specific issues at any time.

Share Key End-of-Life Messages with Your Constituents

NHPCA is happy to provide you with sample language for a news release for you to distribute in your district. Contact the Membership and Marketing Director at or 402-477-0204 for assistance.

Tell the Hospice Story

Only half of Nebraskans say they know much about hospice; most of them have learned through a personal experience with someone who received hospice care. NHPCA encourages you to be an ambassador for hospice by asking your constituents about their experiences with hospice and by sharing your stories and theirs with those in your circles: at church, through work, within civic organizations, and with friends and family.

Talk With Your Family

Commit yourself today to talking with at least one family member in the next month about the health care you would want to receive if you could not speak for yourself.
